Robert Kiyosaki is the world-renowned author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. The financially focused book has been on the bestseller list for many years, making it a staple in the investment world. Kiyosaki is also respected for having deep insight into financial markets, giving his predictions a certain amount of reliability. Now Kiyosaki has weighed in on the crypto market, Bitcoin in particular, and his words are causing global shockwaves.
In a brief Tweet, Kiyosaki laid it all out, simply declaring that a giant crash is coming and that a depression is possible. He added that Bitcoin will hit $500,000 by the year 2025. In the same Tweet he declared that gold will hit $5,000 by the same year, and silver $500. Predictably, the Tweet went viral. Though, making a prediction and backing it up are very different things. Which is probably why Kiyosaki followed up his initial Tweet with an explanation.
The Bitcoin outlook is clearly very positive according to Kiyosaki. But why? In his follow-up Tweet, he declared that the US dollar is fake money and will ultimately be destroyed. He added that gold and silver are God’s money, and that Bitcoin is the people’s money.
Earlier in the year Kiyosaki made similar statements, declaring that the world is in a recession and is set to undergo major changes. He warned of bankruptcies, unemployment, and homelessness. At that time, he again predicted that the value of gold and silver will soar. Meanwhile, in December he went so far as to simply say that Bitcoin owners will get rich.
If it were just Kiyosaki making bold claims about Bitcoin futures, the words might simply be overlooked. However, he is not the only one being bullish about the crypto market.
Pantera Capital, known for being a crypto-focused investment firm, is equally as optimistic about the Bitcoin outlook. The company openly declared that the world is entering into another bull market cycle, meaning that crypto values are about to go through the roof. Ark, an investment management firm, was more open about throwing out huge numbers. A spokesperson for the company stated that Bitcoin futures involve the crypto turning into a multi-trillion market. The spokesperson added that value is likely to hit $1.48 million per coin, giving just 7 years for the deadline.
So, given the words of Kiyosaki, Pantera Capital and Ark, is Bitcoin value positioned to go into the stratosphere? All signs point to yes, though it should also be taken into account that Kiyosaki is heavily invested in the crypto market. So although his predictions are bold, he might simply be concerned about his own stake.
Even still, recent signs certainly suggested that crypto markets are on a strong rebound. As to whether Bitcoin’s value will hit $500k, or even $1.48 million, it remains to be seen. But gains don’t have to be so enormous for crypto investment to be worthwhile. Even if BTC gains a quarter of the suggested $500k, the returns could make an investor wealthy.
